There truly is no exact explanation. It feels like an ache on the heart, something
Starting from this year, I want to have something big to work on. Something that blows the smaller projects out of proportion and scale, and reminds you just how vast, big, great, and how technological complication in this age and era can come together to solve every day problems, setup entire industries that have been heard of in the history of human sanity, come up with concepts and then also have the audacity to pass them around as normal words.
'Post', 'Liked', 'Shared'. None of us probably have better image of what kind of tech this refers to, yet some 20-25 years ago, no one could understand this phrase if I said it then. Now, in 2021, you are automatically hit with the idea of 'Social Media', Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, that's just how the new normal has formed. A concept so rapidly evolving, it took less than 2 decades to turn this into a multi million dollar industry.
It's hard to imagine how a small group of group, a single person, maybe 2 or even 3, just had this idea, implemented it, and because of that decision, the livelihoods of people, our global landscape, our thinking, approaches, human psychology, eCommerce, all have felt this huge gigantic rifts that it's impossible to understand why anyone could even deny the power that technology has in this day and age. If you don't adapt yourself for more than a year, you have to consider where you are standing at the market of the modern world.
That's just how tremendously powerful technology is, and yet so simple as with a few clicks and buttons, and now you're all set to merely take seconds to transfer huge, terabytes of information across the globe. It's that hard to imagine.
And all with perfect precision and accuracy.
Want a list of the tech you and me could probably count at our finger steps reading this right now? Here you go,
- App Services ( Mobile and Web )
- 3D Printing
- Artificial Neural Networks
- Cloud Service Providers, like Azure, AWS, GCP
- Big Data
- Robotics and Reinforcement Learning, think robots from Boston Dynamics
- Cognitive Services And Other AI
- Voice Assistance
- Virtual & Augmented Reality
- Vast, Petabytes of Storage Solutions
- Medical Technology
- Machine and Deep Learning
- User Behavior Analytics
- Cyber Security
- Internet Of Things ( IoT )
- Motion UI ( okay, not that popular of a term )
And that's just the tip of the ice berg!
And maybe we really, really, can't predicate what is to come in the coming 10-20 years of human history. We truly don't know how society will be transformed. What kind of game changing ideas we will run into. What kind of impact we might be able to make that in a relatively small period of time we have spent in this modern world.
We can't say.
But whatever those game changing ideas will be, they will be someone from here now onwards, they will be among us, we can decide what kind of future we wish to create for our self. The world around us, and the people around us. And we, the future and coming generation, having experienced all of these changes right from our childhood, will make sure the ideas are realized to their full potential.
And in this times of the highest of highs, this world is continuously striving towards coming up with quicker, easier solutions to problems, sitting on the fence of going either too fast, or keeping slow to stabilize. How stable is stable? The decision of that lies with what we want to be comfortable with. And maybe, just maybe, out of this comfort zone that we have around us, if we can find the potential to be comfortable with what we know, and at the same time, find the courage to step outside the bubble, fix and find the potential we all have insides of us. We might just come to a point where each of us is going with the gut instincts and saying to themselves, "we can do this".
It's a long journey, seeing from we have come, and where we want to go. What kind of future will we have, and on top of all, all of this hardwork we are throwing ourselves into without hesitation, will it make us happy?
What do I think? I think no matter how fast the world maybe going at sometimes, and how the world is dramatically changing for the better or for the worse, we should choose to work and do the things that make us happy, and trust ourselves where it leads. It surely leads to great ideas of progress, work that will impact humanity in one way or another, and will surely be one of the things that our ancestors might be proud of seeing where their efforts landed the current world in. A better and safer world.
